Collective learning around technology & education / different points of access to the code / information, e.g/ craft knowledge, hands on, as a do-it-yourself alternatives to the existing infrastructure and less self directed learning situations. How to extend upon the communication & learning factor in regards to skills share and info about FLOSS.
The proposal is to focus on the experiental learning aspect of FLOSS e.g. hands on emphasis that we tend to place on the /etc. The *unique* thing about the *eclectic tech carnival* e.g by learning with others you can get instant feedback from other creative minds (each bringing to the table different experiences and insights) DURING the learning process. This enables a kind of collective experience that can be drawn upon when internalising information the first time or deepening the learning and knowledge of the subject.

Individual learning does not have this advantage (although it does have its own advantages, but you can always learn on an individual level. You have to reach out and interact with others to learn collectively). Validating collective learning. Where women claim the right to display personal enthusiasms, subjective choices and allow a personal selection and judgement to breathe its own merits. The challenge for the teachers figure out what do people want to learn, giving excersises so people figure it out for themselves, instead of telling people what they want to learn.

Redefining role of teacher: teacher as coach, mediator, facilitator, in order to act and give guidance to others.

Therefore we really make an effort regarding Translations in /etc06. There are some wireless devices that are quite easy to use and make, that can translate into multiple languages during the /etc. Regarding this wireless headsets with tiny cheep radios regarding translation, they were using them in the Precair Forum a few months ago, we're going to ask them about it (kernow from greenpeper mag) If we can set this up we make a documentation and a HOW TO for the future and of course others.

To keep life simple the dates will remain set as decided on the 3rd to 10th of September (there will be possibly a proposal to Transhack meeting to continue the hack lab after the 11th September - if it is ok with the venue that supports the event and of course if they aggree then there will be a collecting together of resources and energy regarding setting these events up if they can feed in to each other and the community that they embed themselves within)
