THE LEARNING BAZAAR ( a suggestion)

The proposal is to try to foreground skills exchange & collaborative learning in one concept. It is the /Eclectic Tech Carnival after all!
Please be active and help shape this with collaborative learning in mind as discussed further in Preparation meeting in rome.

This was decided and shared with others to build on after a disussion around 'The Cathedral and the Bazaar' the essay by Eric S. Raymond between Donna, Sisi, Ursa & Nancy Jan 2006 during a 'Women with Tools' Evening we were hosting at ASCII werkplats.

Four main nodes/sections set up at /etc these are fluid and interactive
Aim is to encourage collaborative learning modes and an open structure
that you can continually return to in order to go deeper in learning particular skills throughout the week.

These are:-

MIND FLOSS:

AUDIO/VISUAL:

what about the carnival?!

i decided yesterday that i'm determined to come to the /etc - i'll fund myself. but i don't want to teach computer classes. i want to teach stilt building/walking.

in belgrade we also had juggling, which i thought was great for people getting to know each other and to have a break from the computers.

Yes indeed we especially need fun stuff that is not just screen based. Gee i didn't do stilting for years. perhaps i'll bring my trapeze loops i'll have to work on stomach muscles though :*
