Fees & Ecorates

The fees for /etc 2006 are:
standard rate: 30 euros/ecos
sponsor rate: 60 euros/ecos
bursary: free

Our graded fee schedule aims to make the /etc accessible to all women, and the fees are given in Ecos - calculate your local currency here: http://eyfa.org/wiki/Ecorates2006Table.

For Romanian participants, 30 Ecos equates to 13.50 Euros or 470,261.94 ROL.

Each woman who pays the sponsor rate (60 or more Ecos) enables us to give one woman a bursary (please note - the bursary covers only the fee, food and accommodation - it does NOT include your travel costs). We encourage women who can afford to, to please pay the sponsor rate.

Intro to HTML Tags and Attributes - by Tali

This workshop should give women an understanding of HTML tags and attributes. Women should be able to create a simple bio page and host it on the systerserver.

Women should be able to use an editor, and maybe have a picture to use.

Uploading Instructions:

Note: This section applies to uploading files to your home directory and public_html which is in your home directory on the eclectictechcarnival.org server.

This section is also a little technical. I am assuming knowledge of the linux file system and a few shell commands like mkdir (make a directory), cd (change directory), pwd (where am I?), ls –l (list contents of directory in long format), scp (secure copy), chmod (change file permissions) and chown (change ownership of a file).

You need to have a user account on the server.

    • Hivos
      • Hivos rejected our application for the reasons that we are a dutch organization, and they are no longer funding eastern european events
      • the /etc is not a dutch organization, and hivos still lists romania as a country which they fund
      • we don't understand why they rejected the app on the terms - Sara is going to call them to inquire about that
    • fundraiser in punk bar in amsterdam: still on the table!
    • global fund for women: we are still waiting to hear back; Gaba is going to call them soon to check on the status of our application
    • mama cash: still waiting to hear back
