Activist Research on women and technologies iniciated by 3 womyn which are social researchers and very keen on technologies. Instead of repeating the question of why womyn do not participate or use technologies as much as men, we would like to know why and how womyn that already use and integrate tecnologies in their lifes actually do it.
If there are womyn that use technologies there must exist some kind of "code" that makes it possible. So by trying to know our ways to acces and use technologies we will try to decipher this code, named LELA.
Donna will demonstrate the client side of Subversion / SVN on a Linux, Mac OS and Windows system. This application of "revisioning" is just the best way of working on data with a team of people. It is used by software developers, but also for creating and maintaining websites, design, music and other files! The BOF will take about an hour I think. Bring along your computers to try it out.
